The impact of a journey is not simply bidding to the physical effects on the individual, but more significantly the psychological effects. This is shown in Michael Gows character red coral in the play extraneous and Robert Frosts A bridle-path Not Taken. precious coral is first introduced in Away in Act 1 Scene 2. She does not record anything, stay silent for the whole exposure. This is important as it shows that in that location is a deeper problem within coral. She talks to herself approximately tom turkey saying, That male child! In that blue light, the shadows on his slope and neck were similar bruises So sick yet so wonderful. This shows that chromatic picks up on Toms disorder and shows that Coral perceives more than the average per boy would. She is in breed to his suffering due to the fact she focuses on her own grief. Corals monologue is perhaps her most important scene. It reveals that her son was killed at war and that she is unable to surpass through her grief. It shows that she is so overcome by her grief that she is unable to act commonly in societal situations and that e reallything she sees, she somehow links it back to her suddenly son. It is Corals delusion that has led her to be very perceptive. Her yearning in Act 1 scene 3 is almost palpable. She is about to break. Her silence in scene 3 now takes on a more disturbing meaning. Corals attached important scene is Act 3 scene 1. In this scene, she meets Leonie and forces herself into the situation. She is horrendous to show normality when in actual fact, she comes away as desperate and psychotic. Her persistent and meddling questioning makes Leonie find out as if she is in danger. This in fact is symptomatic of Corals neurotic demeanour/ condition. In this scene, Coral is desperate to seem normal to fire to Rick that she has passed her grief and has go past her pain. Act 4 scene 1 is possibly the best representation of the psychological journey be ing more important than the physical journey! . This scene is basically expressive of Coral and Rick...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
